Truckee grad Lashbrook garners All-CCAA honors

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. — Senior Truckee High grad Melanie Lashbrook and teammate Rheann Fall of the Cal State Monterey Bay volleyball team grabbed two of the CCAA spots on the all-conference teams as announced by the CCAA office Wednesday.

The voting was done by the conference’s coaches.

“I am so thankful for the time and commitment both Melanie and Rheann put into the last four years,” said Monterey Bay head coach Jody Garry. “It is an honor for them to earn all-conference; however, they earned it. I hope this experience leaves as great of an impression on them as it did on me and our team.”

Lashbrook earned her second All-CCAA second team honor after dominating the middle this past season with a .313 attack percentage that included 294 kills. She was also a force to be reckoned with on defense, blocking a team-high 77 balls, including 13 solos.

In her four years at Cal State Monterey Bay, Lashbrook tallied a .275 attack percentage, which puts her on top of the Otter career record among hitters. She also ranks third in career blocks with a total of 203 in 293 sets.
