I want to inform my local government of the growing reputation of South Lake Tahoe.

The reputation is, if you go to South Lake Tahoe you will probably be pulled over by one of the many state or city municipalities and either be ticketed for any infraction or given a DUI for the slightest amount of alcohol.

I'm not saying that drinking and driving should be condoned, but getting a DUI for two beers is a little extreme. I understand that balancing the budget in the form of penalties has become an accepted norm for many cities and states; however, this is a short-term solution and in the long run it will only hurt local businesses and city budgets when people choose not to come to South Lake Tahoe because of their terrible vacation experiences associated with getting tickets or even a DUI.
