INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. — The 12th Annual Dummy Downhill was celebrated on Sunday, April 1, at Diamond Peak Ski Resort. Participants built original dummies on skis or snowboards — or even on a float — to be launched off a big jump on the Showoff run.This highly popular event in the Incline Village community didn't disappoint the 100 or so spectators who came to watch the creative dummies flying into the air to land in the snow with spectacular crashes.The categories for the best dummies included:• Most Creative, “Tahoe Tessie”• Most Intact, “Pure Adrenaline”• Shortest Distance, “Jamaica Banana”• Biggest Distance, “Big Brother, Big Sister Dinno”• Finally “Grateful Dead” received first place overall for the third consecutive year.Prizes included a $200 coupon for Stillwater Spa and $25 coupons for Austin's and Crosby's restaurants.
