The Incline golf team finished second behind Whittell in a Northern 2A tournament held at Dayton Valley Golf Course on Tuesday.

Led by senior defending state champion Jordan Wright, who finished second individually, the Highlanders posted a team score of 451 to Whittell's 428. North Tahoe was third at 493, followed by Sierra Lutheran (506) and Yerington (527).

Two other schools competed but did not have enough golfers to record a team score.

Wright carded a 75 while senior teammate Sam Canino shot an 87, Dylan Smith a 94, John Larson a 95 and Arjun Singh a 96.

Jake Williams of Whittell was the tournament medalist, shooting a 73, while Nick Smith of Whittell shot an 80. Trevor Semmens led North Tahoe, carding an 88.
