Will C opens for Dand#8217;Andrea at Tahoe Comedy North

As Father’s Day nears, Tahoe Comedy North will present a lineup at Tahoe which includes Will C., who has three children.

CRYSTAL BAY, Nev. — A veteran and a member of the cast of 15 GIs of Comedy, Will C.’s youngest child was born on Sept. 11, 2002.

“They are all class clowns,” he said. “At least they’re class clowns with good grades. I was just a class clown.”

Will C. is a self-deprecating, full-sized comedian who doesn’t mind poking fun at others as well.

“My 17-year-old looks just like me,” he said. “Her beard’s a little thicker but otherwise she looks just like me: all gut and no butt.”

Will C. will appear Tuesday, June 12, at a Tahoe Comedy North event in the Crystal Bay Casino Crown Room with headliner Tony D’Andrea, Jose Sarduy and Reno’s Lizzie Keith.

Since moving from Kansas City to Hollywood, Will C.’s career has ascended. He appeared in the movies “Seven Pounds” with Will Smith, “Yes Man” with Jim Carey, as well as numerous commercials. Will C. is a regular on Spike TV’s hit show “MANswers” and has a recurring role on Gene Simmons’ “Family Jewels.” He also appears on truTV’s “Storage Hunters,” whose second season begins June 10.

Will C. is the writer, director and star of “Buffet Busters,” which is being considered by the Travel Channel.

“I’ve always been a fan of Adam Richman’s ‘Man vs. Food Nation’ and things of that nature,” he said. “What better way to show America where it can eat affordably with the family? These are places not getting the notoriety they deserve. My cohost is a little Chinese guy. I am twice his size but he eats twice as much as me.”

Sarduy also is a member of the GIs of comedy, which will make 15 appearances at military bases summer and fall.

“He’s a major, a pilot and a very, very funny comic,” Will C. said.

Sarduy can find humor out of adversity.

“If you can’t laugh at a hard time in your life, you ain’t over it yet,” he said in a press statement.

D’Andrea’s act is a whirlwind tour of thoughts and impressions with stops at unexpected platforms. He’s from the old school where material comes from creativity and talent, not requiring shock value to sustain it. Borrowing from masters like Jack Benny, D’Andrea can, when he feels it’s needed, make people laugh without saying a word. But don’t worry, he has plenty.

Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 the day of the show and are available at the Crystal Bay Casino, Incline Cleaners, Noah’s Video and New Moon Natural Foods. For a complete Tahoe Comedy North schedule, go to www.tahoecomedynorth.com
