INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. — Building on its Fourth of July weekend concert series, Toccata, the Tahoe Symphony Orchestra, will continue its 21-concert 2012 Tahoe Summer MusicFest with a series which celebrates the seventh anniversary.
The next concert is at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 26 in St. Theresa Catholic Church, 1041 Lyons Ave., South Lake Tahoe.
It opens with guest artist Michael Angelucci performing Grieg’s Piano Concerto in A minor and continues with mezzo soprano Liudmila Mullin performing favorite opera arias from Carmen and Turandot. The concert concludes with Saint-Saens mighty Symphony #3 “Organ.”
David Brock will be the featured organist. Maestro James Rawie will conduct all performances.
Other concerts in the series will be presented at 7 p.m. Saturday, July 28, in St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church, 341 Village Blvd. Incline Village and again as part of Artown at 7 p.m. Monday, July 30 in Trinity Episcopal Church, 200 Island Ave., Reno.
Tickets are $25 adults, $20 seniors, (62 and up), and $5 students (19-23). Preferred seating is $35.
A grant from the Tahoe Parasol Foundation allows youth 18 and under to enter at no charge. Tickets can be purchased in advance by credit card at www.
