INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. and#8212; Beginning Wednesday, his first day at the Washoe County School District, Superintendent Pedro Martinez will host a series of 11 public meetings at schools and community centers to discuss the next steps for the district.
The meetings, entitled Connecting With The Superintendent, allow members of the community to meet Martinez, ask questions, exchange ideas and express their thoughts about how to provide the best possible education for the 63,000 students in the district.

It is not acceptable to allow our children to lose hope, and I look forward to working with the community to help them find the success they deserve.and#8221;
The first meeting is Wednesday at Billinghurst Middle School. Additional meetings will be held across the district, including locally, on Monday, August 20, 6-7 p.m., at the Donald W. Reynolds Community Non-Profit Center at 948 Incline Way in Incline Village
