Truckee police investigate propane service vehicle thefts

TRUCKEE, Calif. — The Truckee Police Department is seeking the public’s help in gathering information about a recent theft of propane equipment in the region.

According to an online report from the police department, during the evening or early morning hours of Aug. 16, unknown subjects entered a storage yard of a local propane supplier.

The subjects entered several service trucks and removed tools and other specialized equipment. The subjects fled the area, “taking several items that are unique to the propane industry,” according to the online report.
