Truckee Downtown Merchants Association | Step out for First Friday

TRUCKEE, Calif. — In the spirit of community, the Truckee Downtown Merchants Association will host its monthly “First Friday” event on Friday, Sept. 7, 5-8 p.m. in downtown Truckee. All are welcome and encouraged to attend this free community event.This month’s theme is “Colors of Truckee,” and participating businesses will offer a range of colorful demonstrations, live artist showcasing, featured artists and artworks, live music, food and wine tastings, refreshments, special “color celebration” sales, and more.This month’s participating businesses include: Art Obsessions; Backstreet Boutique; Bespoke; Cabona’s; Dragonfly; Gratitudes Gifts and Home Dcor; Kitsch; La Galleria; Lorien Powers Studio; Mo, Jo andamp; Zoe; Mountain Home; The Cooking Gallery; The Treehouse; Riverside Studios; and White Buffalo.All participating merchants will display “First Friday” flags. Celebrate the Truckee community and the “colors” it inspires and experience all downtown Truckee has to offer with this fun, family-friendly local tradition. Free parking will be available downtown after 5 p.m. About First FridayTDMA’s First Friday festivities take place throughout the year in downtown Truckee, 5-8 p.m. on the first Friday of each month. The event is designed to bring community members and visitors alike together to celebrate our community and the vibrant offerings of its downtown center, and to encourage the public to “think local.”The Truckee Downtown Merchants Association is a nonprofit association of local businesses in Truckee working for the economic, social, cultural and environmental vitality of Historic Downtown Truckee.
