TRUCKEE, Calif. — Join Kindred Art and Folk Institute on Sept. 30, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. for the first Kindred Community Day at 10015 Palisades Drive, Ste. A4, Truckee. Create a mindful project that families or individuals may do at their own pace the last Sunday of each month.

September will feature scarecrow building using old clothes, burlap sacks, straw, paints and embellishments to make a scarecrow sure to keep your garden safe and act as an ambassador to autumn. Cost is $10 and includes everything you need to make this great fall friend.

Free activities include music, games, crafts and face painting.

The incredible community inspires Kindred, this inspiration is what Kindred is all about. They look forward to sharing it with you.
