Editor, why do you allow Ed Gurowitz to comment on court rulings when he has no knowledge and information to substantiate his claims? Or better yet, a legal background. He makes false claims and then he uses the rest of his column to berate a citizen who is fighting to fix some really illegal taxing problems.
I thought the Bonanza checked editorials for accuracy before allowing them to be published. The Bonanza is allowing false and misleading information to be fed to the public and confusing the issues. It a rather simple issue and#8212; are illegal taxes legal?
Saying Mr. Katz lost and he should go away is the equivalent to telling the blacks and other minorities to get lost, you failed in the 1900s and you donand#8217;t deserve Civil Rights. Mr. Gurowitz should be screaming bloody murder for the ruling Judge Flanagan passed down.
Flanaganand#8217;s ruling is basically telling the citizens living in the state of Nevada that they donand#8217;t have a right to protest illegal, unfair and phony taxes. Tell that to the Village League to Save Incline Assets see how they respond.
The courts make mistakes Ed, and sometimes they get it right. When they fail like they did in the Katz case there are remedies and#8212; a higher court! Ed, why do you think our court system is set up the way it is, just to bleed the public out of their money? Much like IVGID does!
Ed have you not seen lower court rulings reversed?
