INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. and#8212; Nobody was hurt during a trio of late-night burglaries this month inside occupied homes in the Northwood/Alder neighborhoods of Incline Village, an official said Friday.
The burglaries happened in the early morning hours sometime between Sept. 1 and Sept. 18, according to the Washoe County Sheriffand#8217;s Office.
In each instance, the suspect(s) entered through an unlocked door or window while the residents were home, WCSO Lt. Jerry Baldridge said Friday.
None of the residents, who slept through the burglaries, were hurt, Baldridge said. Currently, detectives have no leads on the suspect(s).
Numerous apartment and condo complexes reside in the Northwood/Alder area, located a block or two north of highway 28 through Incline Village.
The incidents serve as an important reminder for residents to properly lock doors and windows, whether they are going to be home or away.
and#8220;Having worked in Incline before, I know plenty of neighborhoods where windows are left open; it saves power, itand#8217;s nice out and#8212; but those are all reasons that unfortunately create methods of access,and#8221; Baldridge said.
