Incline soccer | Boys, girls combine to shut out North Tahoe

The Incline boys and girls soccer teams both defeated Sierra League rival North Tahoe on the road Thursday, the girls by a 5-0 score and the boys 1-0.

In the girls game, Elise Nelson buried a shot assisted by Hannah Johnson just 2 minutes into the contest. Haley Derr then scored off a corner kick in the fifth minute for a quick 2-0 lead.

Vanessa Andrade scored next, assisted by Elise Nelson in the 55th minute, while Nelson scored from an Andrade assist in the 66th minute and Kayla Goldberg rounded out the scoring with an unassisted goal in the 78th minute.

The boys played to a scoreless tie through one half. But Hugo Garcia netted an unassisted goal in the 47th minute to lift the Highlanders to victory.
