Yo Mama's Big Fat Booty Band has a dance party

CRYSTAL BAY, Nev. — Dig out your disco pants and grab your dancing shoes, Yo Mama's Big Fat Booty Band is hitting the road this fall armed with a slew of national tour dates and a new album, “Re-Doing it Hard.”

The six-piece powerhouse kick off a fall tour Sept. 12 in Charleston, S.C. with stops throughout the Southeast before making their way to the Sest Coast. The project will make a number of stops in key cities along the way including Athens, Asheville, Los Angeles, Santa Cruz, San Francisco and on Friday, Sept. 28, the Crystal Bay Casino for a free Crown Room show.

Yo Mama's Big Fat Booty Band has been blowing the doors off packed clubs and large theaters alike with a unique brand of Nu-Funk music. Known for a fusion of old school funk, hip-hop, electronic music and a little rock and roll, the band is making large strides in 2012.

Performing well over 150 shows a year, and celebrating 10 years as a touring machine, “The Booty Band” fifth album was released Sept. 18. “Re-Doing it Hard” (a re-mix of the sophomore studio release “Doin' It Hard”) features a number of guest DJs, musicians and covers a vast musical landscape. The album travels from heavy doses of hip-hop to trancy electro-lounge music while venturing into heavy club inspired dance tracks. Add in the incredibly sexy vocals of Mary Francis and Molly Kummerle, there is no telling what this six-piece project is capable of.
