TRUCKEE, Calif. - Tickets for the 2012 Black CATT Halloween Ball presented by Trex and Truckee Tahoe Lumber are on sale now. The Contractors Association of Truckee Tahoe will host the event on Saturday, Oct. 27, at the Truckee Tahoe Airport. Advance tickets are $20 at Porter's in Truckee, all Truckee Tahoe Lumber locations and the CATT office at 12313 Soaring Way in Truckee. Spacious Hangar One will be transformed to a huge haunted party house for adults age 21 and up. Attendees will enjoy listening and dancing to The Whitney Myer Band, live at 9 p.m., "DJ Silver BoomBox Thief" before and after the band, plus go-go dancers, a costume contest and giant raffle. A cash prize of $500 will be awarded for the first place costume, $300 for second and $200 for third. The event will kick off at 7 p.m. with gourmet food trucks available for patrons to purchase dinner and snacks. Truckee's Red Truck caterers will be on location throughout the evening. The Whitney Myer Band was voted 2012 favorite band and vocalist in the Reno News & Review's Best of Northern Nevada contest, the band features Whitney Myer, who competed in the spring on NBC's talent show, The Voice. They also performed this year at South by Southwest, music extravaganza in Austin, Texas and as headliners at many local events. "DJ Silver BoomBox Thief" will host and spin tunes before and after the live band until 2 a.m. The Black CATT Halloween Ball, a benefit for Contractors Association of Truckee Tahoe's Political Action Committee (CATT PAC), title sponsors are TREX and Truckee Tahoe Lumber.
