Twice in a lifetime chance to see Naive Melodies

LAKE TAHOE - And you may find yourself in a former bowling alley or somebody's living room which has been converted to a restaurant.

Arcata, Calif., doesn't only export Lake Tahoe Action figures. Naïve Melodies has emerged from behind the Redwood Curtain.

The Talking Heads tribute trio plays the Divided Sky in Meyers Friday, Dec. 21 and the Crystal Bay Casino Crown Room on Saturday, Dec. 22. Like Arcata's rain, fog and goodwill, the show is free.

Naïve Melodies was formed in Humboldt County in early in 2011, performing and honoring music created by Talking Heads.

Its June show had everyone talking (so to speak). This three-piece dance machine does Talking Heads right, press materials say, and keeps the party and dancing going all night long.

Fans can expect to hear a wide range of material, from early art-rock, to radio hits, and everything in-between, all delivered with the central focus of preserving the artistic integrity of Talking Heads' music.

We wonder if the old hometown is the same as it ever was?
