According to Facebook, from private parties to large scale production events, the crew with Boston-based Silent Storm Sound System helps create unforgettable silent disco experiences.

As for the Tahoe show, one of the event organizers took time to explain a bit about its inception:

"The idea actually took shape when my daughter returned from Coachella and filled me in on the newest festival craze, Silent Disco. After a few searches and emails it became clear that this might be possible at the Crystal Bay Casino.

"... Before we knew it plans were afoot for Tahoe's first indoor Silent Disco. The premise is simple, really. Noise curfews were causing a stir at many festival sites and cutting into the entertainment schedules. Along came some inventive folks that decided to outfit the crowd with wireless headphones with DJ's spinning tunes till the wee hours of the morning.

"It has now morphed into the club scene with dual DJs spinning various types of music while those in the audience choose between the two by simply switching between two channels with two different frequencies.

"It really is crazy walking into a room filled with people dancing yet no music is audible. The sound is crisp and clear throughout the room."

Considering headphones will be provided, attendees Saturday need to bring their ID to be held as a deposit.

Tickets are available online at, by phone at 775-833-6333 or at the venue. This is a 21-and-over show.
