Next week some of Hollywood's most diverse celebrities and the nation's top business leaders will compete head-to-head to raise money for Special Olympics Northern Nevada.
The Remedy Celebrity Winterfest will take place March 11 and 12 at Heavenly Mountain Resort. The event will include a Corporate Ski Challenge, an Awards Dinner at Harrah's Lake Tahoe Resort and silent and live auctions.
The Remedy Celebrity Winterfest brings together corporate teams that have each donated $10,000 in order to participate in the weekend event.
The 2005 Remedy Celebrity Winterfest includes participants from companies such as Remedy, BMC Software, Cingular Wireless, Blazent, Enterprise Management Solutions, Ericsson, Kaiser, MedeFinance, North American Title, and Tesoro.
Participating celebrities include Tim Abell, Mike Buie, Carlos Bernard, Scott Grimes, Kevin Durand, Andy Lauer, Zac Levi, Justin Melvey, Amy Pietz, Shawn Christian, Chad Coleman, Juliette Goodrich, Dr. Hayworth, Joel David Moore, Mark Moses, Gregory Smith, Judy Tenuta, Misti Traya, Patrick Wayne, Kevin Weisman and John Vogel.
The Corporate Ski Challenge will pair an eight-member corporate team with a Special Olympics Alpine ski athlete or snowboarder and a celebrity skier, making a total of 10 participants on each team, and will compete against one another for a day.
All proceeds from the weekend will be donated to Special Olympics Northern California and will support the Winter Games at Kirkwood Mountain Resort.
