Caesars Tahoe/Horizon
What is now Caesars Tahoe but will be renamed MtBleu by summer, new restaurants and menus are now featured at this Stateline mainstay.
Going in where the Primavera once stood, 20 Four Continuous Cuisine provides an around-the-clock version of a 1950s diner.
Across the hall, the Aroma Cafe will be replaced by the South Shore's seventh Starbucks coffeehouse. The Emperor's and Cleo's lounges are gone. The unbuffet is still a buffet, but with carving tables and a taste of international cuisine.
For fine dining, Ciera Steak + Chophouse will go in where the Broiler Room was located.
Down the steps from the Aroma Cafe, the del Soul Mexican Grill features traditional cuisine from south of the border and a lengthy tequila list. Live salsa music is expected to be the highlight of the cocktail lounge, with seating that opens up to the casino.
Restaurant managers say changes not only highlight exquisite food and top-notch service, but also provide a sophisticated and fun environment.
Across the street at Horizon Hotel and Casino, theres great American food served at Joshs, everything you can eat and more at the Le Grand Buffet,
Harveys Resort Casino/Harrahs
Harveys Resort Casino is home Tahoes newest restaurant following a $1 million remodel of its 19th floor, formerly Llewellyn's Restaurant. The restaurant is aptly called 19 Kitchen * Bar.
From lobster, sushi and Kobe steak to chicken wings and fries, variety is certainly a theme on the menu. Add to that a bit of cotton candy at a meal courted by cocktail waitresses in creamy chocolate-colored dresses and 19 Kitchen * Bar joins Tahoes diverse dining scene with a statement of playfulness.
The menu was designed to be inclusive of many tastes, said Christophe Jorcin, vice president of food and beverage for Harveys.
Our style is very much into people-sharing items, he said. Everything comes with a lot of food, and it adds many different flavors with your meal to share it among the table. And the view isn't bad when you are 19 floors up. I've traveled all over the world and I know this is the best view in the world, said Jorcin. There are now more tables than Llewellyns previously had, all of which have a view of the lake.
A plush ultra-lounge took the place of the Coco Havana bar with 19 specialty drinks and dark purple couches to blend with any sunset on Lake Tahoe. Deep reds and browns in the carpet, chairs and walls also fit the waitresses outfits.
Harveys is also home to the Sage Room, Pacifica Seafood Buffet, the Carriage House and Hard Rock Cafe, and of course, spicy food and south of the border drinks at Tahoes very own Cabo Wabo.
Across the street at Harrahs Lake Tahoe youll find continental cuisine at The Summit, steak and seafood at Fridays Station, all things buffet at the Forest Buffet, American cuisine at the American River Cafe and the all-American burger at Fat Burger.
Lakeside Inn and Casino
Lakeside offers two distinct restaurants: Taberna, located downstairs, serves authentic Mexican food, including breakfast lunch and dinner, while the Timberhouse, located upstairs, is a coffee shop that serves breakfast and lunch, transforming to a steakhouse at dinner.
