Nelson William Bachman

Nelson William Bachman died Jan. 3, 2007, at his home in South Lake Tahoe. He was 74.

Nelson was born Sept. 25, 1932, in Bridgeport, Conn., to Esther Marie and Julius Bachman. He had lived in Tahoe since July 1963, and worked at several casinos in the pit and catwalk.

He also served four years in the Air Force. At the time of his death, he was retired.

Nelson is survived by his wife of 50 years, Peggy Bachman; son, Keith Bachman, and daughter-in-law, Marie Hatcher of South Lake Tahoe; sisters-in-law, Adele Bachman of Minden, Nev., and June Hathaway of Bridgeport, Conn.; and several nieces and nephews.

Cremation arrangements will be handled by McFarlane Mortuary with his ashes being handled at a later date.
