With the assistance of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Placer County sheriff's detectives continue efforts to locate the teenage daughter of the woman found dead in Tahoe Vista in May.
The whereabouts of Naomi Riley, 15, and her boyfriend, Felix Lizarraga, 24, are still unknown, though officials suspect they are located somewhere in Mexico, said Placer Sheriff's Detective Don Murchison.
Riley's mother, Victoria Rider, 37, was murdered last month. Her decomposed body was discovered by a passerby in a field near National Avenue and Highway 28 in Tahoe Vista May 21.
Rider and Riley are originally from the United Kingdom and have been in the United States since 2002.
Rider was unemployed at the time of her death, but worked at the Tahoe City Post Office in 2006, Murchison said.
Riley was a student at North Tahoe High School, and Lizarraga worked in the area, but sheriff's detectives declined to name his employer.
Lizarraga lived with the two women in a North Tahoe apartment. He is not a suspect at this time, but sheriff's detectives are worried about his and Riley's welfare, said Murchison.
Anyone with information about Victoria Rider, Naomi Riley or Felix Lizarraga should contact Placer County investigators at 889-7815.
