Paul Dunn has been named editor of the Tahoe Daily Tribune.

Dunn, a California native, has more than 22 years of experience in various capacities in the newspaper industry. For the last four years, Dunn was the assistant managing editor at The Daily Reflector, a 23,000-circulation, Cox-owned newspaper in Greenville, N.C.

Dunn, 55, began his career as a photojournalist after graduating from San Jose State University with a bachelor's degree in journalism. As a photojournalist he worked for several papers, including the Palm Beach Post, Austin American-Statesman and The Olympian in Olympia, Wash.

He's also been a graphic designer, entertainment editor, special sections editor and senior writer / reporter.

Dunn has been married to Barbara Dunn for 27 years. The couple has a daughter, Alaina, 26.

"I am thrilled to be here," Dunn said. "The Tahoe Daily Tribune has talented, enthusiastic and innovative employees. The Tribune's new format allows them to shine in ways that will reach the community and captivate our readers. I feel very fortunate to be part of this team."

"It's great to have Paul joining the Tribune staff and the South Lake Tahoe community. His experience will be an asset to the Tribune editorial team," said Tribune publisher Gail Powell-Acosta.
