The award-winning Tahoe Dance Band invites everyone to a "Beach Party Dance" from 7:30 to 10 p.m. Friday at the South Lake Tahoe Senior Center, 3050 Lake Tahoe Blvd.
Tahoe Dance Band was named "Best Band" out of 11 bands who competed at the 13th annual Taste of Downtown in Carson City.
Those who wish may wear beach clothing. All ages are welcome and It is not necessary to come as a couple.
There will be "mixers" to see that everyone has a chance to get up and dance and get acquainted. The 17- piece band plays all kinds of music for dancing and listening. There are always men and women who come alone to find dance partners or to just enjoy listening to the music.
Admission is $8 and includes wine, appetizers and desserts.
Participants can win a free door prize and there will also be a raffle.
