Kudos & Kindness

Garden Tour was a success

Print Comment
The Lake Tahoe Historical Society thanks all who made the fourth annual Garden Tour a success.

First of all, thanks to the five garden owners: The Black Bear Bed and Breakfast, The Deerfield Lodge, Sandy and Don Allie, Francine Tanner and Julie Kiner, and Tommy and Sheila Walker. All the gardens were beautiful and unique.

Special thanks also to Harveys/Harrah's for refreshments, the Dream Spirit Baroque Band for live music, and Joanne Wood for artwork and logo. The Widowed Persons Association of South Tahoe, along with others, were very helpful as garden attendants.

Ticket sales were handled by Aspen Hollow Nursery, Nel's Garden Supply, Sunbasin Nursery, Tahoe Outdoor Living and the museum staff. Thanks to the nurseries for advertising in our program. The Tahoe Daily Tribune's coverage of the event was a major contribution and is much appreciated.

New support this year was received and appreciated from Pentronics, Charter Advertising, Master Framing, Kellogg Garden/Dr. Earth Products, and the Tahoe Art League.

Much applause is due the Garden Tour committee of the Lake Tahoe Historical Society and all the community that "toured" those wonderful gardens.
