A man who was booked at the Douglas County Jail on suspicion of being a minor consuming alcohol and a warrant added another charge to the list when he became combative, according to a deputy's report.

The 18-year-old from South Lake Tahoe repeatedly challenged deputies to fight during the booking process on Oct. 11 and kept spitting mucous onto the floor despite being told not to, said the report from the Douglas County Sheriff's deputy.

While in a holding cell, the man allegedly pounded on the door, yelled and threw a property bin against the door so hard that it shattered. Authorities added a destruction of property charge to his booking.

In other news:

-- On Oct. 8, a man who had been ill and hadn't left his home on Jerry Drive for four days went outside to discover his Subaru Outback station wagon had apparently been stolen. No physical evidence, such as broken glass or wires, was found at the scene.

-- A man was ordered to stay away from the female friend he traveled to Tahoe with after he drank too much and the pair got into a dispute, according to a deputy's report.

The woman said the man, with whom she had never had a dating relationship, began making advances toward her after getting drunk on Oct. 11, the report stated. When she gathered her things to leave their room at Harveys, the man pushed her, slapped her back and lightly kicked her buttocks, according to her statement to deputies. No injuries were reported.

According to the man, the woman became angry when she asked him for money to gamble and he was too drunk to find his cash. He denied using any force against her.

No arrests were made, but the woman moved to a room at Harrah's and the man was ordered to stay out of the casino during her stay.
