11:25 a.m.: It was a large but relatively quiet gathering at the GOP caucus this morning at Kahle Community Center, which ended a few minutes ago. Few people wore campaign buttons on their bodies and there were only a couple of GOP campaign signs along Stateline and Zephyr Cove roads, but the turnout among Douglas County Lake Tahoe Republicans for the Nevada Caucus was exceptional.
Statewide results show Mitt Romney leading the race substantially. So much so that the Associated Press has projected Romney the winner.
We are all one team, said an enthusiastic Nevada Lt. Gov. Brian Krolicki, a Stateline resident and Mitt Romney supporter. His words were spoken to the crowd of more than 250 Republicans at the Kahle Community Center caucus site.
Results from this mornings GOP Lake caucus were transported to the Douglas GOP headquarters in Carson Valley where they will be tallied and made public.

Lines that formed outside the center early this morning to caucus forced organizers to rethink where best to put the 200 to 250 Republicans who showed to the sole Republican precinct for the Douglas County side of Lake Tahoe.
Organizers of the Republican caucus had originally planned to have the caucus inside a meetingr room of the Kahle Community Center. However, todays eager crowd is so large that the caucus was moved to the centers gymnasium.
