<b>HEAVENLY MOUNTAIN RESORT</b>
Today is opening day for the Cascade Boardercross, according to the Heavenly Web site. The resort has fetched 20-30 inches of fresh powder over the last week. The groomers were busy last night on Lower North Bowl, Ponderosa, Meteor, and both sides of Stagecoach. Heavenly groomers recommend Ridge Run on the California side and L/R Stagecoach on the Nevada side. Winds may affect lift operations. Check skiheavenly.com for updates.
