Thursday's ski and board report for Sierra-at-Tahoe, Heavenly and Kirkwood

<b>HEAVENLY MOUNTAIN RESORT</b>

Good morning skiers and boarders. Heavenly plans to operate 28 lifts, with skiing and riding on 4,800 acres today, according to its Web site. Mott and Killebrew canyon will open at 10 a.m. Heavenly groomers picks of the day are Ellie’s Swing on the California side, and Galaxy on the Nevada side. Lifts open at 9 a.m.

<b>Lifts:</b> 28 lifts. Six terrain parks open.
<b>Forecast:</b> Mostly sunny with light to moderate winds. Temperatures in the mid 20s.
<b>New snow:</b> 0 overnight.
<b>Base depth (on trails w/ snowmaking):</b> 78-100 inches.
<b>Surface conditions:</b> Skier packed powder, packed powder, machine-groomed powder.

<b>KIRKWOOD MOUNTAIN RESORT</b>

<b>Lifts:</b> 10 lifts open, 65 trails open, 25 trails groomed. Three terrain parks open, two being rebuilt and will open Friday.
<b>Forecast:</b> Mostly sunny.
<b>Roads:</b> Highway 88 West Carson Pass Tahoe side OPEN. Highway 88 East Jackson side is OPEN.
<b>New snow:</b> 0 overnight.
<b>Base depth (on trails w/ snowmaking):</b> 124-155 inches from top to bottom.
<b>Surface conditions:</b> Machine groomed packed powder, skier-packed powder.
<b>Expedition Kirkwood:</b> Women's Burton Snowboard Clinic and Rossignol Ski Clinic on Saturday, Feb. 9th. Telemark Clinic on Sunday, Feb. 10th. Call (209) 258-7360 for details.
<b>Cross Country:</b> Kirkwood Cross Country Ski and Snowshoe has more than 80 kilometers of groomed trails for skating, classic and snow-shoeing. The traditional classic skiing is great in these cold conditions. Upcoming Ski Skate Clinic on Feb. 10.

<b>Forecast:</b> Mostly sunny with highs in the mid 40s.

<b>Base depth:</b> 66 -127 inches from top to bottom.
<b>Snow reporter’s comments:</b> “It's going to be another beautiful day - don’t forget your sunblock.”
<b>Surface conditions:</b> Machine groomed packed powder.
