Night owls looking for a new place to roost should try flocking over to Elevation 6310 for a midnight snack or drink.

The restaurant and bar opened in November and offers organic food along with organic alcohol, wine and beer.

Owner Tom Lewis said he’s always wanted to own a bar and a restaurant, ever since he worked in a bar when he was 18.

The place offers music during the week, such as Striveroots, who will be playing from 9 p.m. to midnight Thursday.

Whether it’s attending a show or giving in to nighttime munchies, people can snack on appetizers such as head chef Scott Steel’s favorite: Baja Gulf prawn diablo.

Steele and Lewis both want to operate a strong bar complemented with great food.

Menu items include fresh veggie chips with hummus, Manila clams and crab Rangoon wontons, just to name a few of the selections.

The bar has five organic fruit-infusion vodkas, with more planned, Steele said. He also created a simple syrup using hibiscus flowers that is used in the drinks.

“We take the culinary approach to everything,” Steele said.

Elevation 6310 serves lunch from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and dinner from 4 to 9:30 p.m. They serve their late-night menu until 3 a.m. and drinks until 4 a.m.

The restaurant is at 181 Highway 50 in Stateline. For more information, call (775) 558-6310.

BAHM!

The Lake Tahoe South Shore Chamber of Commerce invites all business owners to attend their Business After Hours Mixer.

The event is free to chamber members and costs $10 for nonmembers.

Those attending are encouraged to bring business cards to exchange with businesspeople they meet at the event. This provides an opportunity for local businesses new and old to network.

The mixer will begin at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at Elevation 6310. For more information, call (775) 588-1728.
