Cameron Chase, a sophomore at South Tahoe High School, has been selected for membership in The National Society of High School Students (NSHSS). The society recognizes top scholars and invites only those students who have achieved superior academic excellence.

Membership in the NSHSS entitles qualified students to enjoy a wide variety of benefits, including scholarship opportunities, academic competitions, free events, members-only resources, publications, participation in programs offered by educational partners, online forums, personalized recognition items, and publicity honors.

Chase is the son of Clif and Sandra Chase of Zephyr Cove, and he has two brothers, Connor, 12, and Cory, 4. He attended Zephyr Cove Elementary School and middle school at Sage Ridge and St. Theresa, and he plays on the varsity tennis team, basketball and track team at STHS. He loves to travel and recently returned from London and Paris, and hopes to go to South Africa before he graduates.

In addition to school, Chase is working in the family business marketing office. He aspires to be in broadcasting/journalism and plans to attend a journalism workshop at Stanford University this summer.
