Tahoe Parents Nursery School invites new families interested in preschool to attend an open house from 4:30 to 7 p.m. May 19 at the Al Tahoe Learning Center, 1100 Lyons Blvd.

Tahoe Parents Nursery School (TPNS) is a parent-participation preschool that is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children.

The children of TPNS learn in a hands-on program rich in language, literature, motor skills, music, science, art and cooking. The program operates from 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Thursday from September to June. The tuition fees are $65 per month per child.

Families interested in attending preschool can come and meet the teachers, current students and their families, and apply for the 2008-09 school year at the open house. Those families with children currently not of preschool age (younger than 3 years old) and who are considering TPNS in the future should contact the school to add their child to the waiting list. For more information, call the school at (530) 541-8767.
