The Wine Tasting & Auction at Edgewood is one of the rare times of the year when wine connoisseurs and wine novices can gather together and share their passion for the liquid gems. Imagine a whole evening of sipping luscious wines, dining on sumptuous hearty hors d’oeuvres and bidding on some of the world’s finest wines.
Barton Hospital Foundation will host its fifth annual Wine Tasting & Auction beginning at 5:30 p.m. May 8 in the Edgewood Tahoe clubhouse. The gastronomic adventure begins with wine tasting courtesy of Napa Valley’s Markham Vineyards, established in 1897, and tasty hors d’oeuvres courtesy of Edgewood’s talented chefs. The evening features a presentation by the winemaker, plus a silent auction.
Attire is cocktail wear, and admission is a donation of a fine wine (any size) or $75 cash per person. Donated wines must be valued at a minimum of $50 per bottle per person. The wine will be auctioned later in the evening, with all proceeds benefiting the Barton Foundation's Endowment Fund.
