Lake Tahoe Community Presbyterian Church will offer a one-day women's retreat from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 17.

Sam Kauffman, a wife and mother who is an internationally known Christian retreat leader, writer, songwriter and recording artist, will lead "A Woman of Proverbs." This event deals with the challenges of women in the 21st century, handling both traditional and nontraditional roles.
