Award-winning author and photographer Tim Palmer will offer a signing and slideshow to promote his newest book, "Luminous Mountains: The Sierra Nevada of California."

The event will take place at 6 p.m. Friday, May 9, at the Tahoe Lakeshore Lodge & Spa. There is no charge to attend. Books will be available to purchase for $20, and Palmer will be available to sign books.

The Tahoe Lakeside Lodge & Spa is located on the lake at 930 Bal Bijou Road in South Lake Tahoe, just off Highway 50 near Heidi's Restaurant.
