A broad upper level ridge of high pressure over the Southwest U.S. will keep the Lake Tahoe area under a dry southwest flow for the next several days.
Highs today are forecast to reach the upper 70s to lower 80s around the lake with light winds. Low humidities with clear skies will allow overnight temperatures to dip into the lower to mid 30s tonight and Saturday at lake level.
Little change is expected for Saturday and Sunday with highs reaching the upper 70s near the lake and the lower to mid 80s at Truckee and Markleeville.
Boaters can expect southwest winds to kick up around 10 to 20 mph in the afternoon hours and diminishing after dark.
