The weather forecast is begining to sound like a broken record with more of the same for the Lake Tahoe Basin. Sunshine and warm weather with smokey skies and today will be no exception.
A few clouds may show up this afternoon but the chances for any showers or thunderstorms will be well to our south and east around Bridgeport to Mammoth Lakes in Mono County.
Highs today will warm into the 80s with near 90 around Markleeville and near 70 at higher elevations. Winds will be light lake breezes around the lake until afternoon when all areas will see west to southwest winds in the 10 to 15 mph range.
Tonight will feature more smoke and haze but otherwise clear skies and lows dropping down to near 40 around Truckee and Christmas Valley to the upper 40s to lower 50s elsewhere but mid to upper 50s for the warmer north and east shore locations and for those residents up on Kingsbury Grade.
The amount of smoke will largely depend on fire activity on the west slopes of the Sierra each day so some days will continue to remain better than others. The outlook for the rest of the week looks to be a repeat of today so enjoy.
