Come and wander where the wild things are during Lake Tahoe Wildlife Care's annual open house from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at 1485 Cherry Hills Circle off Elks Club Drive in Meyers.
This is the one time of the year the public is allowed to visit rehabilitated animals before they are released back into the wild.
Volunteers will offer insight into the rehabilitation process, and discuss the recent arrival and treatment of the burned bear cub Lil' Smokey, along with great horned owls, songbirds and other indigenous animals.
Visitors can watch the cubs play on "Bear TV," and retail items also will be on sale, with all funds benefiting LTWC.
