We have reached the middle of the summer season in Tahoe, and therefore the middle of the 2008 Harveys Summer Outdoor Concert Series.

There has been a little bit of country, with Toby Keith and Montgomery Gentry performing last week. There have been some mellow sounds with Robert Plant, Alison Krauss and James Taylor. And there's been a whole lot of rock 'n' roll with Cheap Trick, Heart and Journey all playing the same night at the outdoor arena.

Fans have flocked to Stateline to see their favorite performers, resulting in sold-out shows and a packed venue. With six shows left, there still is plenty of great music on tap to finish off the summer season, starting with Steely Dan on Saturday night.

Upcoming shows

Aug. 2: Steely Dan

Aug. 9: Sammy Hagar & The Wabos

Aug. 15: Alan Jackson with special guest Lee Ann Womack

Aug. 23: Sheryl Crow and James Blunt

Aug. 30: Kiss

Sept. 7: Luis Miguel

Tickets for the concerts are available through Ticketmaster.
