Thursday's weather: Warm today through Saturday and then cooler and windy

Another very warm late summer day is expected today under lots of sunshine and generally light winds.

High temperatures today will soar into the 80s just about everywhere which is near record highs for the date.

Even at the higher elevations temperatures will warm into the 70s.  Light lake breezes will be the general rule.  For tonight, clear skies and light winds will allow temperatures to drop into the 40s for most areas with 50s in the warmer north and east shore locations along with those on Kingsbury Grade.

By later Friday and Saturday a few thunderstorms may begin to break out south and east of the area around Bridgeport and Mammoth but we should remain dry.  Sunday and Labor Day may prove to be rather windy and cooler.

Check back tomorrow to find out how your holiday weekend weather is shaping up. Make it a great day!
