Anger over vacation rentals is 'useless'
In response to Jim Morris' guest column on the City Council's attempt to regulate the vacation-home rental business: I must say that the energy in the anger that he expressed is like the energy in a hurricane. If we could capture his anger's energy, we could put it to good use. But, alas, like a hurricane's energy, it is uncontrollable and ends as useless, wasted hot air that passes over. I wish Mr. Morris well and a speedy recovery after such a hard blow.

Cold Creek Trail users exist in harmony
That's it. I can't just read these letters and not write one of my own. This is in response to the letter by Don Heath (hiker) and all other letter-writers expressing the selfish, nonsharing proposal of the future use of the Cold Creek Trail who obviously don't really use the trail, because if they did, they'd notice a perfect harmony between all users.
I do both, run and bike, and find the trail and other users in a perfect balance without any conflicts or problems. Just the thought that it couldn't be a multiuse trail annoys and angers me, because this is a perfect example of how some people with a lack of common sense end up ruining things for everyone. Bikers and hikers should stick together and make sure no trails are closed down for all of us.
All users have helped improve the trail by clearing rocks, trees and placing rocks in areas to prevent erosion and deterioration.
Whoever started this Cold Creek (non)issue and you, Mr. Heath, have too much time on your hands and need a hobby.
