Lake Tahoe resorts gear up for job fairs

Job fairs are planned for the following Lake Tahoe area resorts:

Heavenly Mountain Resort

Heavenly will hold its two job fairs on Saturday, Oct. 18 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Tuesday, Oct. 21 from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. The Human Resources office is open Monday through Friday taking applications and people can also submit a resume online at http://skijob1.snow.com/.

In addition to a competitive wage and benefits package (including a season pass, discounts and 401k), Heavenly is expanding our health plan to offer full-time, seasonal employees the same coverage as full-time year-round employees, which is fairly rare in the ski industry, a Heavenly spokesman said.

Sierra-at-Tahoe

If you are interested in any of Sierra's winter positions such as Lift Operator, Guest Services Host, Guest Services Ticket Checker, Food and Beverage, Rentals, Parking, Building Maintenance, Patrol, Ski and Snowboard School , Security, Terrain Parks or Road Crew, the resort is hosting a Job Fair on Oct. 18 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. in the main lodge. This is the best way to get an interview with Department Supervisors, according to Sierra's Web site.

A job fair is also planned for Nov. 1 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. For more information go to www.sierraattahoe.com
