Voters headed to the polls this morning have been greeted with icy roads from Kingsbury Grade on the Nevada side to Meyers on the California side.
Between 1 to 3 inches of snow fell over night at south shore Lake Tahoe.
Chain and/or snow tires are required going over Highway 207 Kingsbury Grade, Highway 50 over Echo Summit and Highway 50 over Spooner Summit as of 8 this morning.
Todays forecast calls for a 30 percent chance of snow showers this morning, and become partly cloudy later with any fluries ending by noon. The high today will be a chilly 36 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.
South Lake Tahoe dispatch reports no major accidents this morning but add the roads remain icy. Meanwhile the Nevada Highway Patrol reports having no accidents on Spooner Summit or Kingsbury Grade.
