Freddy Podesta outlasted a field of 505 to win Saturday’s $340 buy-in No
Limit Hold’em tournament at the World Series of Poker Lake Tahoe Circuit
Event at Harveys Casino Resort in Stateline, Lake Tahoe.
Podesta pocketed $36,290 for his first-place finish, while Charlie Melton
placed second and won $22,340.
Shoaib Makani won a $550 buy-in No Limit Hold’em in Sunday’s final table
event at Harveys and was awarded a first-place prize of $39,677. J.T.
Anderson was second and won $23,986.
Results were unavailable for Monday’s $550 buy-in No Limit Hold’em
tournament.
On Thursday, poker superstars Chris “Jesus” Ferguson and Johnny Chan will
sign autographs and speak to the public at 8:30 p.m. near the Hard Rock
Cafe. Ferguson and Chan are expected to participate in the $5,150 buy-in
main event that starts on Friday.
The WSOP Lake Tahoe Circuit Event continues through this weekend, with daily
