BizBeat: Nail designer opens Round Hill shop

Print Comment
Round Hill has a new shop: Paradise Nail & Spa.

Owners Eric and Nina Luu opened the shop Oct. 23. They offer complete nail services, including custom nail-painting.

Nina has worked with nails for eight years, and gets creative with her designs. Her nail paintings appeal to an array of tastes: from delicate floral patterns and holiday themes, to bold and glitzy designs. She can even put real flowers and leaves on customers’ nails.

“I can do anything people want,” Nina said.

The shop also offers manicures, pedicures, facials, waxings and eyelash extensions. And customers can sit in massage chairs while receiving a pedicure.

Eric said the shop can accommodate large groups, such as bridal parties.

The store has gift certificates available for the upcoming holidays, and all shop services are discounted 10 percent through Christmas, Eric said.

When they’re not running the store, the Luus have an 11-month-old son, Austin, who keeps them busy.

The shop is open from 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. It’s at 212 Elks Point Dr., Suite 102, next to Safeway. Call (775) 588-3168.

Chamber sets annual board meeting

The Lake Tahoe South Shore Chamber of Commerce annual board meeting is at 8 a.m. Thursday at Harrah’s Lake Tahoe.

For information, call (775) 588-1728.

Laundry center holds grand opening

The High Sierra Coin Laundry will host a grand opening celebration from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday.

Door prizes will be awarded and refreshments will be served.

In honor of the special occasion, the laundry center will have discounts on washing machines — 25 cents a load — from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday Nov. 21.

The laundry center will be open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. all week, with wash-and-fold service available from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. It’s at 2180 Lake Tahoe Blvd., at Third Avenue. Call (530) 544-8997.
