Incline man appointed to Lake Tahoe eco planning board

RENO, Nev. " Upon recommendation by Washoe County District One Commissioner John Breternitz, the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency Governing Board has appointed Incline resident Chuck Greene to the agency's Advisory Planning Commission.

"Chuck's technical education, expertise in television, writing and local history and influential leadership capabilities are a significant contribution the TRPA Advisory Planning Commission. I greatly appreciate Chuck's willingness to participate in the Basin's community building process," Breternitz said.

Since becoming a full-time Incline resident in 2001, Greene has participated and served as an officer of many local boards including the Tahoe Rim Trail Association, Board of Nevada Rock Art Foundation, Incline Vision Committee, Independent Incline Committee and the Incline Village Rotary Club.

Regionally, Greene works on the Watershed Sustainability Indicators Committee and has worked on the Incline/Washoe County TRPA Working Group for the update of the TRPA Plan as well as on the Public Lands Working Group. Chuck was also the first President of the Sierra Front Recreation Coalition.

The APC, consisting of 21 members from planning, community and field experts, provides recommendations to the TRPA Governing Board on technical and scientific issues. The Advisory Planning Commission meets on the second Wednesday of the month beginning at 9:30 a.m.
