“Long Boat” by Janne Matter is one of the works that will be featured at Art for the Home Gallery during the Art, Food and Wine festival at Ski Run Marina this weekend.
SOUTH LAKE TAHOE — The Ski Run Marina will host an Art, Food & Wine Festival from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
More than 20 businesses will participate, including Art For The Home, Wildman Cafe, Riva Grill, Peter Darvas Studios and Lex Munson Fine Art.
Many artists will be there to talk to attendees and demonstrate their art techniques.
Art collectors are also invited to a sneak preview of the art and enjoy wine tasting from 5-8 p.m. Friday at Art For The Home gallery, in the marina courtyard. The gallery features the work of more 30 fine art photographers, painters, and jewelry and glass artisans. Three international wines will also be presented at the gallery by J.P. Lonergan, owner of Apres Wine Co., at neighboring Ski Run Center.
Food featured during the weekend will include all of Wildman Café's world menu items, including French crépes, Greek gyros, Italian pizza, grilled Persian chicken kebabs, Asian curry entrees, vegetarian plates, Kobe beef sliders and chili hot dogs.
Riva Grill restaurant and bar will serve its Wet Woody drinks, wines by the glass or bottle, individual wood-fired pizzas, mahi-mahi fish tacos, short ribs and other lunch and dinner choices.
The Ski Run Marina is one mile west of the casinos and is at the bottom of Ski Run Boulevard.
