Caregiver training series offers help with family communication

When a loved one needs care, it often brings up differing opinions and unresolved issues.

“Hard Hats: Working as a Family” is a training designed to create better communication within the family.

Deborah Brusco and Nancy Milton of Elder Mediation will share how to overcome these hurdles and provide effective care as part of the “Juggling Hats at Home” training series on Monday, Nov. 2 from 1–3 p.m., Embassy Suites Resort, 4130 Lake Tahoe Blvd.

Refreshments will be served.

Free respite care is available to qualified caregivers.

Pre-authorization is required for respite services.

For information, call the Family Caregiver Support Program at (530) 621-6251 or (530) 621-6151.

This event is sponsored in part by Harrah's Lake Tahoe, Harveys Resort Casino, Embassy Suites Resort, Starbucks at the Y and the Alzheimer's Association.
