Tahoe Youth & Family Services of Lake Tahoe received a $30,000 donation from the Lake Tahoe Visitors Authority from funds raised for local charities this year during the American Century Championship at Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course.
The funds will go toward the purchase of two new vehicles, a truck and a seven-passenger van to transport counseling clients, playgroup members and Steps to School participants.
The LTVA, NBC Sports and American Century Investments sponsor the celebrity tournament, which has raised more than $3 million for national and local charities.
Other recipients include The Boys and Girls Club of Lake Tahoe and Bread & Broth. Another $70,000 from the tournament will be distributed among other South Lake Tahoe organizations.
Next year's American Century Championship will be held July 13–18 at Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course.
