More than 650 people attended the 39th Annual Soroptimist “An Evening of Food & Wine Tasting” at the Harrah's Tahoe Convention Center Friday night.
The event showcased more than 18 local area restaurants and 32 vintners. Guests were able to vote for their favorite winery and restaurant.
The event also included a silent auction and a raffle with prizes like a wine cellar with 20 bottles of premium wine, golf for four at Edgewood Golf Course and a signed poster from the Celebrity Golf Tournament held in July or a hand-made quilt.
Money raised at the event goes back into the community through educational scholarships, youth activity sponsorships, the South Lake Tahoe Women's Center and numerous other projects.
