In April of this year, in spite of a sluggish economy, Round Hill Jewelers opened its' door to a flood of jewelry repair, custom design pieces and numerous fashion jewelry and diamond requests.

“We have been so pleased with the overwhelming welcome of this community,” said Steve Hub who has partnered with Tim Rubsam on this new business to South Lake Tahoe.

The new store is located in Round Hill Square in Zephyr Cove in the location formerly occupied by Oliver's Fine Jewelry. Both Steve and Tim have been residents of the Lake Tahoe area for the past 18 years.

Round Hill Jewelers was started on the premise that even in a tough economy, people are still looking for incredible service combined with internet-level pricing.

One of the keys to the success of Round Hill Jewelers is due to their on-premise jeweler. Tim Rubsam has over 25 years experience as a master goldsmith and designer. Tim's in-house repair shop provides him the capabilities of working on all metals including gold, platinum and silver. Services include custom design and manufacturing, jewelry repair and restoration and watch repair.

Steve Hub has worked in retail and wholesale jewelry for 11 years as co-founder of Hub Bros Jewelry in Incline Village. In addition, Steve founded Lake Tahoe Jewelry Direct supplying replacement diamonds to the insurance industry.

Round Hill Jewelers specializes in custom manufacturing, fashion jewelry, one of a kind pieces and diamonds of every shape and size. They are open from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. Additional information can be found at www.RoundHillJewelers.com or by calling Steve or Tim at (775) 588-8470.
